Monday? Not you again!

Well Tropical Storm Fay has finally left Florida and it’s time for me to get back to a normal routine with the rest of the world. Just when I was getting into being home full time and relaxing. Sigh! Even though hubby and I didn’t go to work, we still woke up around 6AM to check the news for weather updates and find out if we were suppose to report to work. We were very lucky and did not have any damage or fallen trees to deal with. Anyhoo…enough about Fay. Let’s move on to happier things!

Thanks for the comments. The rain finally broke and Tropical Storm Fay has left town. That rain must have soaked my brain because I resorted to playing with waterdrops yesterday! Yikes!

Wet Wednesday

If you’re wondering why today’s post is late and why I have not commented on your posts today. I am in the comfort of my home, riding out Tropical Storm Fay and my cable/internet connections is intermittent. What a tease! Luckily I have my camera and photoshop which does not require internet to occupy my time. Hubby on the other hand is enjoying a marathon of Clint Eastwood movies (we do have power after all). Anyhoo…it’s time for show and tell!

Well as I type this…we are under a flood watch, the ‘canal’ behind me has waves and rain is blowing sideways but don’t worry. I’m home, dry and have my camera!

Practice Love and Good Will

It is amazing what happiness a sincere expression of compassion and tenderness will induce. Dr. Samuel Shoemaker once told of a baggage handler in Grand Central Station, named Ralston Young. He carried bags for a living, but his real job was to share a little Christian fellowship with those he met. He carefully watched customers to see if there was a way he could give them more courage and hope. He shared a little love with everyone he met. In the words of Tolstoy, “Where love is, God is.” So, practice sharing happiness with others and you will find it for yourself.

Monday: Pictures Pages

Spent the weekend relaxing at home. Made a crockpot of spaghetti sauce to put over pasta, took a few naps, watched a few movies and played around with the camera. In other words, the weekend was very pleasant. Hubby starts back up at the local community college this week so I’ll be forced to entertain myself while he studies the night away. What will I do? What….will I do?

Maybe I’ll go heavy with the black eyeliner and be mysterious!

Maybe I’ll find an alternative use for neck ties and wear one as a belt.

Maybe I’ll read the funnies and drink some coffee.

Maybe my inner pyro will come out to play and I’ll do something like this.

Maybe I’ll watch this video from Youtube and take a trip down memory lane. Remember this?

In any case…I’ll find something to occupy myself with. Keep Florida in your thoughts and prayers because there’s a tropical storm that could turn into a hurricane headed our way. Hope you all had a nice weekend.
